Dementia changes people’s lives. Behaviour and personality changes with dementia and the changes can pose many challenges to both patients and caregivers. Caring for someone with dementia can be extremely stressful.

In this interactive workshop, Dr Chiang Wai Fong, a Bach Flower Registered Practitioner and teacher, will be sharing her views and experiences to help you understand the behavioural changes associated with dementia. She will be talking about stress management and emotional healing using the Bach Flower Remedies for both patient and caregiver. Dr Chiang has more than 10 years of first hand experience using flower energies for healing. Her goal is to help you make informed choices in managing the symptoms of dementia and learn ways to stay emotionally positive throughout the process.

Katherine Khoo is a Nutritional Therapist with more than 7 years of experience. She specializes in nutritional therapy for cancer, and is trained in Integrated Cancer Care and Nutritional Medicine. She will be giving an overview on brain health and dementia – a progressive decline in cognitive function due to damage or disease in the brain beyond normal aging. She will be touching on the nutritional requirements of a dementia person, co-morbid that can affect the nutritional requirements and basic supplementation to help improve nutritional status. Lastly, prevention is always best, especially so in the case of dementia as there are no medicines that can cure dementia. Katherine will be discussing the various dietary and lifestyle factors that may help to prevent cognitive decline and provide tips to help you get started on your journey towards better a brain health.
