About the programme
This workshop is suitable for parent-child pairs.
In conjunction with the celebration of Mother’s Day, Red Pencil Singapore is arranging a special series of floral art therapy project to show our love and appreciation for our beloved mothers. This art therapy session will incorporate floral arrangement and art making to reflect the selfless love and qualities our mothers embody. Expanding on the conventional artmaking, crafting fresh floral arrangements is calming and therapeutic and it becomes a natural 3D canvas. Through the mindful process of artmaking, participants will be asked to reflect on their relationship with their mothers and how they hope to express their gratitude for them by writing a letter. At the end of the session, participants will bring back the bouquet and the card for their mothers.
Please bring printed family photos or photos with mother and self that can be cut out and used for the card.
This session accompanies the exhibition Mother · Art · Healing at library@orchard from 4-31 May 2022.
