Dr. Scott is a consulting clinical psychologist in private practice. He holds a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor, Canada and is registered as a clinical psychologist in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Ontario, Canada.

From 1991 to 1996, Dr. Scott was a lecturer in the Department of Psychology, University of Hong Kong, and is past President of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. Previous to this, he was a psychologist in the Family Counseling / Education Program, Surrey Place Centre, Toronto, Canada.

He made a move to Malaysia in 1999 and joined the Twin Towers Medical City in Kuala Lumpur as a consulting Clinical Psychologist. After 6 years of practising in Malaysia, Dr. Scott moved to Singapore to set up his own private clinical practice and has remained here since.

Dr. Scott’s clinical interests include the effects of child abuse, trauma, and neglect on adult personality (also known as codependence or complex developmental PTSD), adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and adult Asperger’s syndrome of all kinds.

Dr. Scott’s first Ph.D. was in Zoology. As a neuroscientist studying the neuro-biological basis of mental retardation and neurotoxicity for 25 years, he is well versed in the biological development and physiological workings of the human brain. Coupled with the experience of being a clinical psychologist, Dr. Scott hopes to utilize knowledge accrued from both fields when helping clients manage and overcome their emotional and psychological issues.
