This is a 1-day (9 hours) workshop with an assessment component. At the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped with the skills and competency:
- To identify common signs of mental-emotional distress and its impact on overall wellbeing;
- To use appropriate attending skills to provide mental-emotional support;
- To use appropriate strategies to help manage the individual’s distress in crisis and non-crisis situations;
- To identify common signs that may require professional support and make the relevant referral;
- To be aware of personal boundaries and self-care when attending to others’ needs.
