• Provide psychotherapy and counselling to individuals, couples, families and groups in a competent and ethical manner to improve clients’ mental well-being and quality of life
• Deliver individualised interventions and provide case management when appropriate
• Participate in clinical supervision, case conference and other professional development sessions
• Conceptualise, develop and deliver psychological and counselling programmes for persons with mental health issues/conditions
• Provide support for a public education campaign on mental health
• Compile with the agency’s service standards for counselling practice and the professional code of ethics and conduct for psychologist/counsellor
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Part time employment (3 working days per week) will also be considered

Skills and Experiences

Candidate Requirements

Technical Competencies:
• An accredited Master degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or Counselling
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in mental health services

Core Competencies:
• Able to work effectively with clients of diverse demographics and with a wide spectrum of issues in both individual and group sessions
• Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred achievements / characteristics:
• Trained in mindfulness-based approaches, particularly in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment  Therapy and/or Mindful Self-compassion
• Registration or eligible for registration with a recognised professional body is preferred
