The Association for Music Therapy (Singapore), AMTS, (UEN T07SS0236E) is the professional association for music therapists in Singapore. AMTS was formally registered with Singapore Registry of Societies on 19 September 2007. AMTS is also an organisational member of the World Federation of Music Therapy since 2009. Our Vision All people to have access to quality Music Therapy Services in Singapore. Our Mission To lead the nation in the progress of Music Therapy as a Regulated Allied Health Profession through education and advocacy. Our History The Association for Music Therapy Singapore (AMTS) was founded on 19 September 2007, with eleven members. They were Audrey Ruyters, Chen Hsueh-Lien, Clara Chong, Daphne Phua, Loi Wei Ming (Treasurer), May Clulee, Melanie Kwan (Secretary), Ng Wang Feng (President), Pamela Fisher, Patsy Tan, and Tan Xueli. During the first decade, the initial task was to educate the Singapore public about music therapy and to clear up misconceptions about the field. AMTS also aimed then, and continues to serve as an organisational agency for music therapists based in Singapore. In 2017, AMTS reached its first decade-milestone, and celebrated with a timeline commemorating this achievement!

The National Council of Social Service (NCSS) has launched a chatbot to encourage mental health sufferers to seek help. It was launched for the first time as part of its “Beyond the Label” campaign. McCann Worldgroup Singapore, which was the creative agency behind the campaign, helped to develop the Facebook Messenger chatbot named “Belle” together with AI technology partner AiChat. It connects youth, adults and seniors to mental health resources and helplines, as well as educate the public with tips on how to interact and support persons with mental health conditions.
