Centre for Fathering is the not-for-profit organisation with Institute of Public Character status registered in 2001 with the aim of Empowering Fathers to Strengthen Families. Our programmes help fathers in all life stages to be effective dads. Each year, the organisation conducts over 150 programmes such as Adventure Camp with Dad, Breakfast with Dad, ICAN workshops and other parenting workshops. Coaching for Fathers Nobody said fathering was easy, and many of today’s fathers did not have much of a role model. It is likely they had fathers who were distant; providing, but not involved. If you want to be a better father than you are now, or to prepare yourself for your fathering journey, where do you begin? Coaching for Fathers is a service that empowers fathers to engage fully, effectively, and responsibly in their children’s lives. About COMIT: Community Intervention Team or, COMIT provides assessment, counselling, therapy, case management and psychoeducation support for clients with mental health issues and dementia, including their caregivers. With the assessment, the team develops individualised care plans for clients or link up the clients with other more suitable services. Caregivers will be provided with the appropriate assessment and intervention such as psychoeducation, training, support and support group. COMIT works closely with the Community Engagement Teams, General Practitioners, Polyclinics and other community partners to provide holistic care to clients. It is one of the programmes under the Community Mental Health Masterplan developed by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), together with the Ministry of Health (MOH). Cost may be imposed for some of the services. For eligible clients, the service providers will advise the approximate cost of service upon assessment.
