Our History
The Association for Music Therapy Singapore (AMTS) was founded on 19 September 2007, with eleven members. They were Audrey Ruyters, Chen Hsueh-Lien, Clara Chong, Daphne Phua, Loi Wei Ming (Treasurer), May Clulee, Melanie Kwan (Secretary), Ng Wang Feng (President), Pamela Fisher, Patsy Tan, and Tan Xueli.
During the first decade, the initial task was to educate the Singapore public about music therapy and to clear up misconceptions about the field. AMTS also aimed then, and continues to serve as an organisational agency for music therapists based in Singapore.
In 2017, AMTS reached its first decade-milestone, and celebrated with a timeline commemorating this achievement!
