D.Psych (Clinical), BA (Hons) Psychology, Registered Psychologist (Singapore)

Dr Sara Delia Menon is a clinical psychologist at Alliance Counselling who specialises in psychotherapy with adolescents, adults and couples. She works therapeutically to address mood and anxiety disturbances, traumatic stress as well as personality or behavioural problems. In addition, Sara conducts clinical and forensic psychological assessments for adults 18 years and older.

Sara is registered as a Psychologist and Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). In addition to her Doctoral level clinical psychology training, Sara has received further instruction in a number of therapeutic modalities (i.e. CBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, EFT and ACT). She has also completed Level 3 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and is working towards becoming a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist.

Along with her clinical work, Sara engages in lecturing and research supervision at an undergraduate psychology program and is passionate about applying psychological theory into practice. Her professional background includes over a decade of practicing as a psychologist in Singapore. The early years of her career involved working with children and adolescents with Autism and other developmental disorders. The next 8 years Sara spent in the government service working in areas of staff counselling, criminal risk assessment and offender treatment, as well as staff resilience building and crisis response. Sara last held the position of Assistant Director of Psychological Services with the Singapore Prison Service, overseeing assessment and intervention services for violent and mentally ill offenders, and prior to leaving the public sector in 2015.

Sara speaks English and Mandarin.
