Adelphi Psych Medicine Clinic is located at The Adelphi, a lifestyle mall next to St Andrew’s Cathedral and the National Art Gallery, a three minutes stroll from City Hall MRT, Exit B. “Adelphi” is a Greek word for “one womb”, signifying universal brotherhood and sisterhood. The Attorney General Chamber’s office operated from The Adelphi between 1992 to 2013. The history of the building and the meaning of the word compelled us to name the clinic: THE ADELPHI PSYCH MEDICINE CLINIC Our clinicians comprise psychiatrist and therapists who are experienced in their expertise, caring in their approach, passionate in helping their patients and proactively contributing to society. They held clinical leadership positions in the civil service and restructured hospital before entering private service.

Adrian graduated from the Clinical Psychology training programme in National University of Singapore. He has more than a decade of experience working in the field of mental health. Of which, he spent a good portion of it as a Senior Psychologist in the public healthcare sector in Singapore, caring for individuals with health and mental health struggles. Adrian incorporates a range of evidence-based approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT), to address the individuals’ unique mental health challenges, such as mood, bipolar, anxiety, sleep, obsessive-compulsive disorders, as well as health issues such as chronic pain, weight and diabetes.

Alliance Counselling is a team of multilingual counsellors and psychologists. We provide empathetic professional support and guidance to men, women, couples, children, teenagers and families. Alliance also offers educational institutions partnering, clinical supervision, corporate workshops and psychological assessments. Amanda is well versed with various International education systems (such as British, American, and Australian) and the requirements of each educational system and environment. She is also familiar with requirements for local Singapore schools and MOE rules and regulations. Her familiarity with a multitude of educational systems and their requirements allows her to create and plan suitable intervention programs depending on the child’s and school’s needs. Her past experience working in multi-disciplinary settings has also given her a good understanding of other health professionals’ (such as Occupational Therapists, Educational Therapists, Orthoptists, Pediatric Audiologists, Pediatricians, and Speech and Language Therapists) perspectives and what each professional can bring to the table in order to form an all-rounded intervention program for a child. Prior to her move to Singapore, Amanda worked in various settings in Melbourne, Australia. She worked in a private practice attached to Monash University, the Pediatric Unit at Monash Medical Centre as part of the psychology and child development unit, as an ABA therapist and case manager, and at a private school. Andrea obtained her Masters degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Melbourne and is a registered psychologist in Australia. Before returning to Singapore, Andrea worked in outpatient clinics and government schools in Melbourne, Australia. As a result, Andrea is familiar with both the Singaporean and Australian education systems. Within her work, Andrea has had extensive experience in working with children with specific learning disabilities (e.g. ADHD, dyslexia), autism spectrum disorder, and social/emotional difficulties. Working at clinics and schools has provided Andrea with experience in conducting psychological assessments for the diagnosis of disorders as well as creating individual education plans to support children with developmental and learning disorders. She has been trained in the administration of the ADOS for autism diagnosis. Andrea has also conducted trainings to support teachers in their understanding and management of students with developmental disorders. As a school psychologist, Andrea has delivered classes on study skills and undertaken behavioural interventions for students who presented with a variety of concerns.
