M.Ed (Guidance & Counselling), Master Practitioner, NLP

Richard is based in Hong Kong and will be coming to Singapore every second week. He will be available to see clients on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Richard is a counsellor with a rich and varied experience. His 30-year career includes a decade in business management and operations, a decade in professional consulting and accounting, and a decade in counselling, coaching, training and people development. He has lived and worked in UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. He has a firm understanding of the challenges of expatriate living from both personal and professional experience. In addition, his corporate background enables him to identify with the life balance issues and stresses involved in a corporate environment. This breath and depth of experience has provided him with a wealth of practical, cross-cultural, hands-on examples which clients find invaluable.

Richard works with adults only – individuals and couples. He has a special interest in men’s issues but his works also focuses on personal growth and life crisis, relationship issues, stress, anxiety, depression, anger, substance abuse and addiction. His therapeutic approach is person centered, solution-focused, emotion-focused, and systemic. He integrates various disciplines, including cognitive therapies, NPL (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), accelerated learning, multiple intelligence, clean language, aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and (not least) humour. He creates new models and tools for clients.

Richard hails from England and holds a M.Ed(Guidance & Counselling) from Newcastle University in the UK and is an Associate Fellow of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association.
