Clinical Psychology

Mona obtained her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from James Cook University (Singapore). She is a registered clinical psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society. During her previous work as a school psychologist, she had extensive clinical experience in conducting psychological assessment and behavioral interventions for children, in particular those with Intellectual Disability and Autism. She also conducted several training workshops for teachers and caregivers on behavioral management strategies for children with special needs. Mona is accredited as a Master Solution Focused Practitioner. She is also a Triple P (Positive Parenting Practices) Practitioner and provides parent coaching to help parents understand, prevent and manage developmental, cognitive, social and emotional issues that may arise in their children at various developmental stages from toddler to adolescence. Mona is also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy and reality therapy. She adopts a flexible therapeutic approach in order to meet the diverse needs of each client and their families. Monica has over 15 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. She provides psychological assessment and therapy on a broad range of emotional and behavioural difficulties including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, adjustment, attachment, parenting difficulties and family issues. She has experience in conducting court- mandated forensic assessments for violent and sexual offenders. She is passionate about improving personal well-being and restoring relationships; as well as effecting meaningful change. She adopts a person-centred, strength-based and collaborative approach in her work. As a therapist, she believes in the adaptive power of the human spirit to heal and that change is possible. She has a special interest in post-traumatic growth, resilience and psychosocial oncology. Ms Irena Constantin is a Occupational & Educational Psychologist who completed her M. Phil (lic. Phil) at the University of Zurich, Switzerland and has specialized in Applied Psychology. Ms Constantin has gained her experience in various fields such as banking, school and clinics. Ms Constantin is multi-lingual and provides her counselling in English, German, as well as Greek. Ms Constantin has had extensive experience in dealing with learning and socio-emotional difficulties experienced by children, teenagers and young adults in school and work settings. In this regard, she has also provided school related intervention programmes and has been part with an active role of the University and Career Guidance at the German European School (GESS). Joanna’s passion is working with children with developmental language disorder. She also enjoys working with children and youth with speech disorders, stuttering, social communication difficulties, and with caregivers for young children with delayed language development. Joanna had previously served as a psychologist with the Ministry of Education for over two years, working with teachers and fellow psychologists to assess and support children with various developmental learning needs. In order to work more directly with the caregivers and children with these learning needs, she furthered her studies in the area of speech and language pathology. She has worked at a local hospital since 2011 serving the paediatric population, and took on a leadership role in 2014 to improve services provided by the paediatric communication team of speech therapists and to educate new clinicians. She works well with the other professionals in a multi-disciplinary setting, to ensure holistic care for the children and their families.
