Psychologist, BA(Psych), MSc(Psych) MAPS

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Master of Science (Psychology) from the University of Wollongong, Australia. He has been an Australian registered psychologist since 1995 and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). He completed his supervision as a graduate psychologist in 1995 working as a prison psychologist supporting young male offenders before moving across to pediatrics working with children with ADHD.

He has almost 20 years experience in both clinical and organisational fields with international expertise delivering counseling and coaching services as well as workshops in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Prior to coming to Singapore in 2013, he was Director of Career Services at the Australian Graduate School of Management (2007-2012), prior to this he was a consultant Psychologist in the UK working with organisations such as the London Business School and Drake Beam Morin were he provided both counseling and career coaching.

Matthew adapts his counseling approach to the needs of each client and uses an integrated approach using concepts from Acceptance Commitment, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural, Existential and Person-Centred therapies. He is experienced working with individuals and couples on a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, life and career transitions, low self-esteem, relationship and family issues, grief and loss, and anger management. He has a keen interest in the benefits of nurturing healthy relationships and is currently studying to become proficient in Gottman Couple Therapy having recently completed level II training.
