Our Psychological Medicine department provides comprehensive treatment and management for these conditions through a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and case management officers. We are keen to get to know you and find out the issues you face. It is important to us that you are involved in the treatment planning and are comfortable with the recommended treatment. The Department of Psychological Medicine, established in September 1979, provides quality outpatient and inpatient psychiatric clinical care. We also work with and train our community partners in primary mental health. We offer a full suite of services for the young, adult and elderly populations. Our academic research faculty and clinicians work to advance the vision of the hospital, as well as that of the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, of which we are a part. We provide psychiatric teaching and training for undergraduate and post-graduate students and place a strong emphasis on clinical, research and educational excellence as an important means of advancing knowledge in the field.

JurongHealth Campus’ Psychology service aims to provide patients with quality treatment using empirically supported therapeutic methods. Our focus is on the emotional and mental well-being of our patients. To that end, we provide a range of assessment and therapeutic services to help patients cope with their mental disorders, medical illness and / or chronic symptoms. In addition, we provide services to help patients learn to manage their emotions better and handle stressful life situations. These services include behaviour therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and schema therapy. Services are available to inpatients aged 16 and above and outpatients aged 12 and above. Appointments can be made via JurongHealth Campus’ appointment hotline with a referral from our doctors.
