Depression, anxiety, stress and adjustment or sleep difficulties are common psychological conditions seen in our community. Our Psychological Medicine department provides comprehensive treatment and management for these conditions through a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and case management officers. We are keen to get to know you and find out the issues you face. It is important to us that you are involved in the treatment planning and are comfortable with the recommended treatment. We see patients aged 18 years and above.

The vision and mission of KKH Department of Psychological Medicine is to support KKH, to lead in excellent, holistic and compassionate care for Women and Children through: promoting awareness and enhance emotional wellness, providing comprehensive evaluation and holistic care to women and children who suffer from a spectrum of emotional challenges and psychiatric disorders improving the lives of women, their families and caregivers. Clinical care will be complemented by research and dissemination of important findings that emerge across the field of women’s mental health. Develop and advance the field of women’s and children’s mental health, and contribute to the academic knowledge and capabilities of healthcare professionals.

The Department of Psychological Medicine, established in September 1979, provides quality outpatient and inpatient psychiatric clinical care. We also work with and train our community partners in primary mental health. We offer a full suite of services for the young, adult and elderly populations. Our academic research faculty and clinicians work to advance the vision of the hospital, as well as that of the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, of which we are a part. We provide psychiatric teaching and training for undergraduate and post-graduate students and place a strong emphasis on clinical, research and educational excellence as an important means of advancing knowledge in the field.

JurongHealth Campus’ Psychology service aims to provide patients with quality treatment using empirically supported therapeutic methods. Our focus is on the emotional and mental well-being of our patients. To that end, we provide a range of assessment and therapeutic services to help patients cope with their mental disorders, medical illness and / or chronic symptoms. In addition, we provide services to help patients learn to manage their emotions better and handle stressful life situations. These services include behaviour therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and schema therapy. Services are available to inpatients aged 16 and above and outpatients aged 12 and above. Appointments can be made via JurongHealth Campus’ appointment hotline with a referral from our doctors.

Raffles Counselling Centre’s services include therapies and medications and range from family and individual counselling to behavioural modification. In addition to professional service on mental health issues, the centre also provides psychological testing for a wide range of needs such as organic brain injuries, IQ and career counselling, psychological profiling for employment, psychiatric legal problems, psychological screening for maids and other psychological testing such as 16PF, MMPI, IQ tests, etc. Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists are trained in couple and family care, child and adolescent services, and art and music therapy. We seek to enable you to cope better with confounding situations and help facilitate the resolution of issues.
