Alliance Counselling is a team of multilingual counsellors and psychologists. We provide empathetic professional support and guidance to men, women, couples, children, teenagers and families. Alliance also offers educational institutions partnering, clinical supervision, corporate workshops and psychological assessments. Our team’s philosophy is to work in harmony with our clients from the expatriate and local communities to provide them with the highest level of confidential care and support. Our goal is to assign the right therapist for each client so they feel comfortable and able to pause in a peaceful and safe environment. Based in Singapore since 2009, our clients trust our professional therapists who take a genuine interest in their clients’ concerns. We provide our clients with the tools and skills to cope with life’s challenges in each stage of their life. Alliance Counselling has supported clients from more than 60 different cultures. We speak English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hindi.

The Alzheimer’s Disease Association (ADA) is a social service agency and is made up of caregivers, professionals and all who are interested in dementia. ADA provides daycare for people with dementia, as well as services such as counselling, support groups,  referrals and public education talks. The Association also conducts training and workshops for caregivers.

Profile Amy provides psychotherapy and counselling services to children, adolescents and adults. In her experience, she has supported clients across a variety of emotional, social and behavioural difficulties, including depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, attachment wounds, school-related stresses, and relationship struggles. By providing a safe and nurturing space for healing, Amy facilitates her clients’ journey of growth and discovery with respect, empathy and compassion. She believes personal growth from the inside out is possible for everyone and deeply honours the privilege to be able to walk alongside her clients and connect relationally with each client as they navigate through the difficulties and struggles they experience. Amy’s therapeutic work is grounded primarily on humanistic values and she uses an integration of person-centred therapy, psychodynamic principles, inner child work, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, trauma-informed approaches, and solution-focused and cognitive-behavioural strategies to meet her clients in their needs and support them in their healing and growth. COMNET Senior Service (COMNET), abbreviated from Community Network, has its humble beginnings from the Befriending Service, initiated in 2007. COMNET’s mission is to support vulnerable and low-income seniors to live independently and actively in the community. It aims to empower seniors to seek life satisfaction with the support of community resources. COMNET operates a total of seven Senior Activity Centres (Rental) (SAC-R) and a Senior Group Home in Sengkang. These centres are supported by case management services under the Senior Activity Centres (Cluster Support) (SAC-CS), Community Case Manager Service (CCMS), Community Resource Engagement and Support Team (CREST) and Befriending Service.

MindCare is a community mental health service within AMKFSC. MindCare aims to respond to the increasing needs for community mental health support. Our team of helping professionals in the community seek to promote mental health resiliency among the clients we serve. Our service is open to all residents residing within Ang Mo Kio, Sin Ming, Bishan, Sengkang and Punggol estates. Social & Organizational Psychology Anita is a mental health practitioner with over 13 years of experience in counselling, therapy, and education. Anita obtained her BA Psychology degree from Womens Christian College, Chennai, India, followed by a Medical and Psychiatric Social Work degree from The Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India, and, an MSc in Social and Organizational Psychology, from The London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. Anita commenced her career as a school counsellor in India. Subsequently, Anita went on to work as a Lecturer at Singapore Institute of Management, including, heading their Psychology Programme. For the past 5 years Anita has been in private practice, providing counselling, therapy, training and coaching, to children, adolescents, families and individuals in Singapore across a broad spectrum of issues. Anita also works with couples using the Solution Building for Couples Approach. Anita is a certified Solution Focused Brief Therapist, and Solution Focused Coach. MSoc Sc (Counselling), Grad Dip (Soc Wk), BADA (Hons) Anna Hamilton is a South African who has lived in Singapore for over eighteen years.  She is a member of the Singaporean Association of Social Workers, and has twelve years experience in social work and counselling in Singapore. She did her undergraduate studies in South Africa, her Graduate Studies in Social Work at the National University of Singapore, and obtained her Masters in Counselling from the University of South Australia. She therefore brings a mix of cultural knowledge and theories to her work with all her clients, no matter what their nationality. She approaches the counselling relationship from the social work paradigm that frequently a client’s issues stem from both internal struggles and external challenges.  Anna will work with the client to understand both his/her past, as well the current influences that are preventing the client from leading a full and contented life.
