Asian Pastoral Institute offers three programmes in Counselling and Community Work: Graduate Diploma in Counselling, Master of Arts in Counselling and Community Work, and Doctorate in Counselling. All three counselling programmes are listed in the International Registry of Counsellor Education Programs (IRCEP), an international affiliate of the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). A/Prof Leslie Lim specialises in the treatment of Depressive and Anxiety Disorders (which includes Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Phobic Disorder). He graduated MBBS (University of Singapore), trained in Psychiatry in London (St George’s Medical School, University of London), obtained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK). He was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He was visiting scholar at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, USA and at the Duke University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, North Carolina, USA. He presently serves as council member of the College of Psychiatrists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He has trained numerous batches of undergraduate and post graduate students in Psychiatry and has mentored many trainees who have since become accomplished psychiatrists in Singapore. He served as chief examiner in Psychiatry for the Master in Psychiatry Examinations, and is presently an examiner with the NUS and Duke- NUS medical school and an examiner with the Psychiatry residency programme in Singapore, as well as an examiner with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, United Kingdom.

AMTS was formally registered with Singapore Registry of Societies on 19 September 2007. AMTS is also an organisational member of the World Federation of Music Therapy since 2009. Our Vision All people to have access to quality Music Therapy Services in Singapore. Our Mission To lead the nation in the progress of Music Therapy as a Regulated Allied Health Profession through education and advocacy. Our History The Association for Music Therapy Singapore (AMTS) was founded on 19 September 2007, with eleven members. They were Audrey Ruyters, Chen Hsueh-Lien, Clara Chong, Daphne Phua, Loi Wei Ming (Treasurer), May Clulee, Melanie Kwan (Secretary), Ng Wang Feng (President), Pamela Fisher, Patsy Tan, and Tan Xueli. During the first decade, the initial task was to educate the Singapore public about music therapy and to clear up misconceptions about the field. AMTS also aimed then, and continues to serve as an organisational agency for music therapists based in Singapore. In 2017, AMTS reached its first decade-milestone, and celebrated with a timeline commemorating this achievement!
